Powder skiing January 2008.

Whistler is consistently ranked the #1 mountain ski resort in North America. Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains combined offer over 8,100 acres of terrain. The next largest ski resort in North America, Vail, pales in comparison at only 5,200 acres.

This includes beginner terrain, intermediate terrain and some of the most challenging expert terrain you can ask for. If you have never skied before or need a refresher, the Whistler Blackcomb ski school offers some of the best instructors in the business. If you are an intermediate skier there are many gentle cruiser runs located in the high alpine. And if you are an adventurous expert skier than you have you are like a kid in candy store. Take your pick of high alpine bowls, steep chutes, glades or high speed groomers. Size really does matter.

Whistler is made up of 3 separate base areas all located at the bottom of Blackcomb or Whistler Mountains. At the end of the ski day this means you can click off your skis and walk back to your room, or better yet, stop off at one of the friendly après ski pubs to reminisce about the glories of your just finished day.

Whistler is located a 2 ½ hour drive from Vancouver International Airport. The route to Whistler via Highway 99 is one of the most spectacular coastal drives in the world. Sit back and relax as we recommend the Whistler Wired Mountain Limousine as your preferred transportation to the resort.

Whistler receives on average over 30 feet of snowfall per year. This translates into excellent ski conditions with many, many powder days.

The resort is truly an international destination with guests and resort staff alike coming from all corners of the globe. Walking through the village you will hear many different languages being spoken.

"Our customized Whistler-Wired expedition provided an experience that would have taken countless hours to plan on our own and allowed us to direct our energy towards enjoying our vacation, instead of wasting time searching out the fun. It was like having a travel agent for a best friend. Thanks for the vacation of a lifetime"
