Nathan grew up in Alberta learning to ski at the Jasper and Banff ski areas. After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree he lived and worked in Japan for four years. Arriving in Whistler in 1996 he was responsible for managing the Asian market in the Sales department at Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains and continues to work as a consultant in the Asian market.

Martin began skiing at Whistler & Blackcomb Mountains as a four year old leading to his intimate knowledge of the ski area. Martin is a graduate of the Tourism and Marketing Management Program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. Moving to Whistler fulltime in 1996 he has worked in the hotel and food & beverage industries including management roles with Marriott and Fairmont
